Paulo Goldstein’s Repair is Beautiful allows broken objects to regain normalcy

In the series Repair is Beautiful, industrial designer Paulo Goldstein focuses on refurbishing and reinstating conked out stuff like headphones, chairs, iPod and lamps by attaching discarded metals, strings and superfluous bones. What is interesting about this series is how Paulo chooses a particular item – in a frustrated state, according to him – and does his bit to restore its functionality.

His highly therapeutic art seeks to repair broken objects through design, a green intent and superb craftsmanship. What we finally have is a collection of repaired objects that have acquired a new meaning and functionality. Paulo further explores a wrecked anglepoise, a razor and a dart to help them restore normalcy.
