WaterPartners opens its first international office in India. Today is World Water Day, and WaterPartners has organized World Water Day 2006 event in Tiruchirappalli, India to mark the day to draw international attention to the critical lack of clean, safe drinking water worldwide. It is in 1992, the UN General Assembly designated March 22 as ‘World Water Day’.
In association with WaterAid, UK, and WaterPartners International, USA, Gramalaya is organizing World Water Day 2006 at its training center in Kolakkudipatti, located in the rural parts of Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, India.
