Eddi Prabandono recycles auto, industrial trash into sculptural installations

For quite some time now, artists have utilized discarded objects, such as industrial waste, automobile parts, plastic rubbish and other neglected stuff, to create sculptures that clearly manage to overtake their constituent elements by considerable effect. Indonesian artist Eddi Prabandono, for example, uses shovels, bicycles, skateboards and automobile waste to create lifelike sculptures.

While the Luz Series at Jog Art (2011 edition) allowed bystanders to observe the inherent beauty of clay articulated through a sculpture, Eddi’s other works seek to implore trashed objects for their hidden grace. CollabCubed notes that he came up with a multi-looped Vespa at the Art Stage Singapore.
