CES 2013: Parrot intros Flower Power smart wireless sensor for avid gardeners

Parrot intros Flower Power smart wireless sensor for avid gardeners at CES 2013

Designed and created for gardeners who despite their unflinching love for gardening often forget watering or fertilizing their plants, the Flower Power sensor readily senses your homegrown plants’ myriad needs and keeps you informed about the same. Displayed at CES2013, the loving smart gadget by Parrot relies on numerous wireless sensors to track sunlight, temperature, humidity and fertilizer. Moreover, users may pair the device using the Parrot Cloud iOS app through Bluetooth 4.0 with their smartphones or tablets for obtaining detailed info related to their plants’ growth.

The app notifies you about your homegrown plants’ vital statistics like availability or non-availability of light, water and fertilizer so that you can take appropriate action in a timely manner. Since the Parrot Cloud app has about 6,000 plants already programmed into its database, you can be sure about the well-being of just any plant growing in your kitchen garden. The battery powered device further flaunts six months of battery life and is available in two colors.

According to Dvice, Parrot prefers to stay mum on the expected pricing and release date of Flower Power sensor. Still, we can expect Parrot to launch it by the Q4, 2013.
