Tehran’s nuclear program can pose a grave threat to the environment of Gulf countries. Concerned over the forthcoming crisis, the Gulf countries planned to hold talks with Iran on the issue, the United Arab Emirates has disclosed.

Tehran’s nuclear programs can affect the Arab region’s life and life style, largely and severely. It is because for drinking water – the region’s Arab states depend on seawater desalination plants, and the Arabian Peninsula desert has no rivers or alternative sources of water to depend on, excepting the limited underground water resources. So, if the Gulf is polluted, it will have an adverse effect on the people livng there.

Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahayan said,

Iran the neighbor, the Islamic state, the partner in trade and in social ties … should be patient and show understanding toward the fears in this region.
