In Photos: Intangible Snow Leapord

This magnificent animal is the sole member of the genus Uncia uncia. As compared to the normal leapord its rosettes and broken-spot markings, appear less well defined and are spaced further apart. This stealthy animal’s fur turns white in the winter. Its tail is heavy with fur and the bottom of its paws is covered with fur for protection against snow and cold. It is a threatened species, poached mainly because of its beautiful fur.
