The ocean climate has changed over decades, rather centuries. But, what is the more accurate model to reveal the changes?

Every creature has its place and role in the oceans – even the smallest microbe, according to a new study that may lead to more accurate models of ocean change. As on one hand, most bacteria kinds are not interchangeable, with each thriving under predictable conditions and at predictable times, on the other, the bacteria kinds and numbers in a sample can show where and when it was taken! – Researchers from USC and Columbia University show.

The researchers found to be able to predict the bacterial population makeup by the conditions in the water more than four times in five.
