Gone are the days when designers used to create their furniture pieces from timber, plywood, sunmica or glass alone. Now, since they dare to think green and out of the box, they prefer recycling discarded stuff to fabricate unique furniture items rather than using traditional raw materials. Working on the same line, Mexican industrial designer Alejandra Gonzalez has come up with the initial designs of a coffee table, dubbed Bita, which utilizes discarded bicycle wheels.
The handmade table utilizes wheels as its base. While one wheel is stationary and fixes itself neatly to the metal base, the other wheel rotates 360 degrees to create a revolving platform.
