Will Australia turn into a desert by the century's end?!

drought stricken australia 9Australia’s climate is found to have permanently become hotter and drier! And scientists fear that the country will be facing major temperature rises and significantly less rainfall by 2070!

Rainfall in parts of eastern Australia may drop 40 percent in next 65 years! And, this would lead to a 7 degree Celsius rise in temperature! – as predicted by the government’s Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization.

Here are some more dreadful predictions:–

By 2030,
The risk of bushfires will be higher.

Droughts will be more severe.

Rainfall and stream run-off will lower.

By 2070,
The town of Gunnedah in western New South Wales state will experience temperatures over 35 Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit) for more than 100 days a year.

Walgett may have 83 days a year above 40 Celsius (104 Fahrenheit).

Such constant high temperatures could one day turn normally drought-proof green pastures into brown dustbowls!
