water industry

We are used to the technology of using sunlight to create electricity. But, to treat dirty water! Yes, it’s happening with a new technology in the process of its development. Thanks to the scientists at the University of Aberdeen.

Together with the UK Government Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), the three industrial partners – OpTIC Technium, Yorkshire Water and Scotoil Services have committed £1.2m to develop novel technology commercially. It is for breaking up pollutants found in all types of water supplies.

Be it from landfill sites to domestic water tanks, the technology credits having the potential to be more cost-effective and environmentally-friendly than current methods.
