Man, not the major culprit behind global warming! United Nations

It has till date been the fact that human beings are the biggest active culprit behind global warming effects. But, a recent report by United Nations on climate change will be claiming something else next year! – i.e. humans are not on the top of the list.

The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has reduced the overall estimate of human-effect on global warming by 25 per cent. It says that since the industrial revolution, the overall human effect on global warming is less than what had been thought! And this is due to the unexpected levels of cooling caused by aerosol sprays – capable of reflecting heat from the sun.

To mask the warming effect, oceans have played a vital role by absorbing large amounts of heat. In comparison to its 2001’s report, the panel has lowered predictions of how much sea levels will rise!

The panel also reports that the atmospheric carbon dioxide level has accelerated in the past five years! According to it, during the next 100 years, temperatures will rise by up to 4.5 C. And in the process, it will bring more frequent heat waves and storms.
