Remember Malen Pierson, whom we introduced you to a fortnight ago? At that time, we told you about his special knack for seeing beauty in trashed objects, which he morphs into incredible metal animal sculptures
. Now, this time, the Salt Lake City, Utah-based artist is all set to create a 20-foot high Trojan Horse sculpture out of recycled metals. However, before he could actually do so, he is seeking crowd funding at Kickstarter to fuel his dream project.
The funds, thus generated, will be used toward buying metals, materials, equipment and forklift rental, and pay for labor, permit and transportation as well. When created, the monumental, modern day Trojan Horse will be a three dimensional gallery quality sculpture – a lifelike tribute to Malen’s 23 years of patience and eco awareness. After completion, it will be headed to several national art competitions across the US.
