The greenhouse gases seem to have reached the stage of no return! They are still building up in the atmosphere rising the planet’s temperature. Though methane is leveled off, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide increased continuously in the air last year, leading to the steady increase of greenhouse gases ion the atmosphere. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said this on Monday.

Though two chlorofluorocarbons, the gases blamed for the ozone hole over the Antarctic declined, the amount of heat-trapping gases in the atmosphere are rising continuously, if the overall state is considered.

Overall, According to NOAA, The index was set at a base value of 1.0 in 1990. For 2005 it was 1.215… Most of the increase is attributed to carbon dioxide, which accounts for 62 percent of radioactive warming by greenhouse gases.
