Green lifestyles need radical change; hence a radical action for it is needed. People need a clear lead from government, believes the Sustainable Consumption Roundtable (SCR). SCR’s report named ‘I Will If You Will’ urges measures such as taxing flights, rewarding water conservation and banning threatened fish such as cod.
Though people are ready and eager to adopt greener habits, many believe that actions taken by an individual are futile, SCR concluded this after consultation with people.
SCR co-chair Ed Mayo commented, Going green can be smart and stylish…We want to call the bluff of politicians, to take action to make the sustainable choice the easier choice.
