Incidents of breast cancer are rising across the world each day! And United States ranks near the top internationally! This increase in the curve is pretty disturbing! But, what is leading to this growth?
Though some breast cancer risks are due to genetics, the overall increase can lead to blaming environmental factors as one of the primary causes. Breast cancer incidence has increased markedly among immigrant populations to the US, but the gene pool does not change so quickly.
Thinking of carcinogens, eventually and rightfully brings in the immediate environmental toxins in the forefront. The public and breast cancer advocates may think of the similar elements. But scientists believe that environmental influences include not only toxicants, but also diet and lifestyle.
So can we say, the environmental exposures are not just limited to pollutants?
