According to a report by Christian Aid, 162 million people in sub-Saharan Africa alone could die of disease that directly attribute to global warming by the century’s end. But what is the solution?
In a bid to curb global warming, the Christian Aid has urged the British government to lead the world’s richer countries for taking urgent and immediate action. And the poorer regions too have a big role to play for themselves. They should start using renewable energy sources, and for this, they need to be encouraged.
The report says that the environment would benefit and there would be more jobs, only if sub-Saharan Africa switched from fossil fuels to other sources of energy — like solar, wind and water. This would eventually help improve health and enhance learning opportunities.
