Ryanair and Environment minister confront over Aviation Emissions

Budget airline Ryanair has backed the Environment Minister Ian Pearson with sarcastic comments over his remarks accusing the airline as ‘irresponsible face of capitalism’. Condemning the minister Ryanair’s Chief Michael O’Leary said that minister was “silly” and “hadn’t a clue what he is talking about”. He termed it as a just another way of greedy politicians grabbing more money from ordinary passengers. raynai62
He said :

It is time Mr Pearson and other equally foolish politicians actually tackled the real cause of climate change, which is road transport and power generation.

Maintaining Ryanair airline as the Europe’s greatest green airline O’Leary said that in the last five years airlines had cut its emissions and fuel consumption by 50%.

Notably, the Ian Pearson blamed airline that when it comes to climate change, Ryanair are not just the unacceptable face of capitalism, they are the irresponsible face of capitalism.

EU Plans to control aviation carbon

The EU has made a proposal under which all airlines that arrive and depart Europe will have to come under the carbon-trading scheme from 2011. As per the Industry sources air travelers are to be charged with extra £6 for each European flight and the fee will increase £23 on long-haul flights
