Jumping Killer Spiders love feeding on deadly malaria mosquitoes

on deadly malaria mosquitoes 9Blood engorged mosquitoes – its yummy! Yes, a jumping spider in East Africa loves to feed on such mosquitoes. But, they have a preference in that too! — Mosquitoes that are infested with the deadly malaria parasite.

We all know, rather have experienced or witnessed that malaria leads to death of more than one million people across the world per year, and that too, mostly children. So, this finding can eventually help these mosquitoes assist in carving malaria worldwide.

According to LiveScience, behavioral ecologist Ximena Nelson at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia said,

My dream would be that people could be educated to recognize this little animal and not kill it when found inside houses, as it often is, apparently in search of food.

If these spiders are left in these houses, they may diminish the number of blood-fed mosquitoes leaving the house, and thus prevent someone else from becoming infected.
