Despite having 1,600 products on shelves worldwide, Nivea doesn’t seem to be contented with its logo and packaging design. Now, with the company’s intent to bring in a major brand overhaul, Nivea contacted Swiss designer Yves Béhar with their proposal for designing new logo and a better, greener packaging solution for their products. Accordingly, Béhar responded positively to Nivea’s requirements.
According to Fast Co Design, Béhar came up with his logo design which, aside from flaunting a high-contrast look, eliminates erroneous iterations of the blue dot. Secondly, Béhar’s team proposed a lighter and stronger bottle than its predecessors, which uses 15 percent less plastic while making no compromise with the durability aspect. Thanks to their compacter form, now store-owners can fit eight newly designed bottles where they have been fitting seven thus far. It further means that the new design will save 12,600 pallets and 585 tons of carbon emissions a year.
Nowadays, with a logo generator app even small firms can get the logo designs that they want.
