Wildfires burn more than 20,000 acres across rain-deprived Arizona

Several wildfires across the rain-deprived Arizona have burned through more than 20,000 acres! The strong winds blowing there turned havoc as it was thwarting the efforts to battle these gourmand wildfires.

Forcing more than 100 homes to evacuate on Wednesday night, the wildfires threatened five subdivisions on the west side of Flagstaff. Wind gusts with a speed of 46 mph have driven the fire up, roughly burning through 250 acres, according to fire officials.

Though none were burned, the fire threatened an estimated 120 homes. The flames consumed a number of campgrounds, according to officials. The fire was spotted around 4 p.m., but the cause of it is still under investigation.
