Who Would Pay $130,000 For A Mirror? Anyone would if they were deprived of sunshine for 90 days a year.

Bondo, a village in Switzerland with 198 residents lies in a valley floor so deep that parts of the village do not receive any sunlight in winter for three months every year. The villagers have chosen to trick nature by creating their own sunshine. They are considering to install a $130,000 gigantic mirror which follows the sun’s path using a remote computer and reflect the rays into the village.

Mayor Renzo Giovanoli said:

That would be added value for our town. We came to a consensus at the village assembly that the study of the project should be further assessed so that we can decide on it in the summer.

This mirror would be similar to the one installed in an Italian town, Viganella which faced the same situation as Bondo.
