U.S. records warmest April in in more than a century

us experiencing hottest summer

For many Americans, this April may have been a pleasant spring, but it is not the same for environmentalists. They say April 2006 proved to be the warmest on record for the United States. According to the National Climatic Data Center, the average temperature for the 48 contiguous states was 4.5 degrees Fahrenheit, which is above normal for the month.

It is since record has been kept from 1895, this April has made to the nation’s warmest April. The warmth April was recorded particularly in Texas and Oklahoma, followed by New Mexico, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee for being the second warmest April.

Can this be the reason for the month to experience droughts across large portions of the southern and southwestern United States? Or a series of tornado outbreaks at the first half of the month are the effects of this climate change? What do the US has in store for the next summer?
