Tom Hatfield recycles discarded Christmas tree into sledge

Christmas Tree Sledge

How do you plan to treat your special Christmas tree once the celebrations are over? While most of us would ask the municipal folks to take them away, some will throw them out without having the least idea about their destined fate. However, artists like Tom Hatfield are considerate enough to create art out of those discarded Christmas trees. The London-based eco artist has transformed a redundant Christmas tree, which he found in the streets of London, into an awesome Christmas Tree Sledge.

The unique piece of art features a frame, which comprises neatly carved branches assembled together. As you can see in the above image, it features a seat made from six simple slats of pine. For making it maneuverable, the artist has attached a rope to it.

Artist believes that people have lost their originality and hence, they need such works of art to remind them off their eco responsibilities. Moreover, the Christmas Tree Sledge could help folks to reassess their creative side and think of myriad uses Christmas trees can be put to, he believes.
