Suspension contemporary coffee table made from salvaged wood

Created from discarded, upcycled and found stuff, the Suspension Coffee Table offers you a way to make your cuppa greener than it was ever before. The brainchild of furniture-maker James Breaux, the coffee table is entirely handmade to suit every homemaker’s taste.

Combining four hand-carved wedges of African mahogany with a set of reclaimed leaf springs from a 1960′s-era muscle car, the unique suspension offers a perfect support to a breadboard-ended black cherry top. Thus, it brings the retro raw material closer to contemporary home décor themes, with a distinct trace of Asian influence. James utilizes wooden slats made of sipo to create the cross-brace and storage shelf.

With dimensions reading 14″ height x 43″ width x 23″ depth, the Suspension Coffee Table is available at Etsy for $1,875 only.
