Starbucks intros $1 reusable cups in US, Canada

With their intent to offer greener coffee to its customers, Starbucks has made its reusable plastic cups available at all USA and Canada stores. Perceiving that disposable coffee cups keep adding waste to landfills, the coffee giant had earlier introduced reusable mugs. The attempt, however, failed to garner enough response from customers since the mugs were rather heftily priced. Accordingly, Starbucks has priced the reusable plastic cup at $1 only.

Since the coffee lovers will get a dime discount of each refill, they ultimately get their dollar back – indirectly though. Moreover, the cups will be sanitized when customers bring them in for refill. Aside from having the Starbucks logo on its papery outer surface, each coffee cup flaunts lines inside for indicating a tall of grande size.

Starbucks tested theses cups in 600 stores in the Pacific Northwest recently and has now made them available across the US and Canada.
