Global Warming is not sparing any corner of the world. And Alaskans are living with the “Global Warming” hype. Warming in the Arctic is stimulating the growth of vegetation and could affect the delicate energy balance there, a recent study of the Arctic shows. This phenomenon, in turn can cause an additional climate warming of several degrees over the next few decades.

Are these the after-effects of Global Warming?
In the otherwise stark Arctic tundra, the number of dark-colored shrubs is rising, indicates a new study. And as this is happening, the amount of solar energy absorbed could increase winter heating by up to 70 percent. More and more people are falling victims to the poisonous bites of spiders, Providence Alaska Medical Center informs. It is for the first time in history, Cougars, Mule Deer, and even Whitetail deer are being found in the frozen lands. Recently a snake was found dead on a road in Southeast Alaska. Reports also say that mountain lions have been spotted on top of Donnelly Dome, on Clearwater Road, and in the Delta agriculture project, and one was glimpsed near Dot Lake between Delta and Tok. Indigenes there say that summers are hotter and drier, the winters milder, and the snowfall less than “the old days’.
