Russian photographer captures fire and smoke to create unique flame art

While it’s easy to capture stock-still, tangible objects, things go really difficult when you are supposed to click snapshots out of something as ephemeral and destructive as fire. Stanislav Aristov aka Pol Tergejst is one such gifted Russian photographer who loves to capture fire and smoke in action; and that too, when the transient elements are busy twirling and acquiring myriad shapes. By relying on his skill and patience alone, the artist creates unique fire and smoke art out of burnt up matchsticks, flames and drifting smoke.

The Matches series by Pol Tergejst projects a variety of striking visuals which include inanimate objects, a Christmas tree, the Eiffel Tower and other outstanding images. Without a doubt, the Matches series invokes a sense of appreciation for a yet unseen form or art. Simply commendable, to say the least!
