Pakistani recycler gives discarded stuff a second life

Born and brought up in Karachi, Pakistan, and currently working as the Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Fine Art Department at the Indus Valley School of Art & Architecture, Adeela Suleman loves modifying discarded and found objects into artistic – at times humorous – sculptures. While utilizing trashed objects like showerheads, water pipe chains, nails, bolts, drain covers and cooking utensils, she seeks to bring the issue of recycling to the surface.

With her aim to reach a wider audience, Adeela has taken her recycled artworks to various exhibitions (on and off) worldwide. For getting the first hand view of her creations, what you can do is visit Scope New York 2013 or scroll down to see more images.

Collabcubed notes that her recent wall installations, as seen here, are highly ornamental in nature.
