Organic Food to Avoid Pesticide

Can you imagine your diet giving you a bit of pesticide everyday! Thinking of the consequences of the silent killer, it scares me. Since last year, thinking of the amount of chemicals that might be going into a kid, sales of organic baby food in the US have jumped nearly 18 percent, double the overall growth of organic food sales, according to the marketing information company ACNielsen. Children are more vulnerable to toxins in their diets, as children grow rapidly, and their brains and organs are forming. They too, eat more for their size than do grown-ups. “Pound for pound, they get higher concentrations of pesticides than adults do,” said Alan Greene, a pediatrician in northern California. He promotes organic food in his books and on his Web site.
