Days of heavy rain and deluges in North Korea have left hundreds of people dead or missing, sweeping away the entire village, the state media report. Torrential rain have caused flooding and landslides on both sides of the border, sweeping through the Korean Peninsula recently.
Pyongyang has confirmed for the first time that human casualties occurred by the severe weather. To add to, flooding had caused ‘tremendous’ losses to the state economy, state news agency KCNA informed on Wednesday.
