Michael Grab’s Gravity Glue series is all about focus, balance and patience

Yesterday we told you about Pol Tergejst’s flame art which seeks to add a visual appeal to something as intangible as fire and smoke. Now this time, we’ve yet another artist transcending gravity to endow inanimate objects (pebbles, stones, etc.) with a superb sense of balance. Relying on his focus and patience alone, the Canadian-born Colorado-based artist Michael Grab does actually succeed in grabbing the attention of those who see his sculptures. Flaunting unparalleled balance and rock steady composure, the Gravity Glue series offers an astounding spectacle.

The master balancer places stones over stones to bring his sculptures into existence. Grab says that the art of stone balancing owes its origin to various cultures around the world. He further relates his art to his way of showing appreciation and offering thanksgiving and meditation.
