Luca di Filippo recycles electronic waste into dystopian mechanical creatures 1

Remember the Mechanical Mind jewelry series – a marvelous compilation of insects-like shapes crafted out of discarded watch parts? Well, we’ve yet another artist stretching the same creative thread to create dystopian mechanical creatures, looking for eatables around a house. The UK based photographer Luca di Filippo has done a commendable job in transforming trashed electrical parts into lifelike creatures, collectively dubbed as Daily Contaminations.

The tiny electronic bugs, according to The Creators Project, aim to hint at our electronic footprint as we keep surfing the web through online activities. Needless to say, the amazing menagerie (gallery below) throws enough light into the precision, artistry, intent and passion of the artist. Though we are not sure about the actual time taken to create and photograph each of these mechanical organisms, still we believe that the artist has worked for months together to bring these miniature insects into existence.
