The federal government is set to take a tiny desert owl off the endangered species list. Apparently a good news for the conservationists, but actually for the developers! The environmentalists have showed resentments against the act.
It is for more than a decade, the little cactus ferruginous pygmy owl has been a subject for battle between environmentalists and developers. Weighing in at less than 3 ounces, the owl is only about 6 inches long.
It is next month, the owl is said to be removed from the endangered species list. It is a move that will abolish the designation of critical habitat for 1.2 million acres in Arizona too.
