However, here Dr Prem Jagyasi and community suggest some amazing ideas that will help you light up you home with home junk in amazing ways with no extra cost to you in buying expensive lighting system. It also helps you contribute a little bit of yourself in conserving the environment-
Tetrabox lamp
Simply cut out vertical strips from your Tetrabox and fold them in the shape of tiny triangles each. Glue together a number of these triangles in hexagonal shape. Then stick these hexagonal shapes together to make a sphere out of them. Leaving space on the top for a bulb, fasten a rope or a chain on the top to suspend the sphere from the ceiling. Fix in a bulb and electric wire and see the triangle mesh of shades spread out on the floor and the walls.
Plastic spoons
Just collect a number of plastic spoons after a home party. Cut off their handles, and discard them. Take a plastic bottle and cut away its base. Now arrange the spoons around a bottle in the shape of a cone right down towards the cut base. Decorate the neck of the bottle with a spiral arrangement of the spoons remaining. Secure the whole to the ceiling with a rope or a chain. Fit in a wire and a bulb and see the magic lamp light up.
Wine bottles light
Simply gather those colorful wine bottles in diverse colors and suspend them together from the ceiling with the help of threads. Induce small LED bulbs inside of them and see the bottles cast a magic over your dining table as you and your guests settle down for dinner.
Aluminum pull-tabs lamps
A collection of hundreds of pull-tabs can be molded into beautiful sphere lamp sphere or else a table lamp by sticking together or interlocking them in a net shape. The resulting contraption is not only a treat to eyes but also durable enough to last you for years.
Doll chandelier
We can arrange old dolls and toys in a chandelier like manner around a centrally placed bulb and suspend the whole contraption from the ceiling.
Globe lights
You could do a lot of innovating lighting with those of your old plastic globes. The dim light emanating from them will warm up such corners of your house where bright lightening is not always preferred.
Old lighters
Old cigarette lighters are a yet another item that will make an interesting ceiling lamp. Simply arrange cigarette lighters in different colors around a ceiling bulbs and your room will burst into a riot of rainbow colors.
China cups
With some of our china cups breaking, we suffer a dilemma of either keeping or disposing off the remaining ones that do not pair with the new set of cups we buy from the market. We can make ceiling lamps out of these discarded lamps. Simply drill a hole on their base and suspend them upside down from the ceiling. A number of these cups with diverse designs and colors can be arranged together to create interesting and contrasting blend of lampshades.
Plastic bottle chandeliers
Just cut the bottom of the plastic bottles of the cold drinks right at their base. This will leave you behind flower shaped piece. Collect a number of these flower shaped pieces and string them together to create a fanciful chandelier.
