‘It seemed like the world was ending’, Jesus Javier Quintero said defining the horrifying experience this Sunday on the Mexico’s Pacific coast!

Lashing through the region, the powerful Category 3 storm – Hurricane Lane left a trail of destruction killing 3 people, washing away roads and knocking down flimsy homes on Sunday.

Turning creeks into raging currents, the whipping rains destroyed a bridge between the city of Culiacan and the tourist resort of Mazatlan. In the process, Lane pulled down electricity towers, trees and traffic signs.

The eye of the storm hit houses near the town of El Dorado, which were flooded before the hurricane lost its punch, slowing down to a tropical depression. According to the police, the storm killed a young man, when his car fell in a river in Culiacan, killing two others earlier.
