Haroshi to display recycled skateboard deck skull at Jonathan Levine Gallery

Being an avid skateboarder for years, Japanese artist Haroshi takes his artistic inspiration from old, discarded skateboards while he transforms them into amazing works of art – sculptures, which are simply stunning, to say the least. For creating his one-of-a-kind, he stacks several layers of skateboards and then trims their edges to get the desired shapes. This time, he has created a detailed skull out of repurposed skateboard decks.

Until Haroshi puts several of such impressive artworks on public view at his second solo show at Jonathan Levine Gallery in New York, on January 12, have a look at another image that shows the lifelike sculpture in all its magnanimity:
