Global Warming May Trigger Endemic

World temperature is rising. Ice sheets at the poles are contracting, leading to fears of rivers disappearing from the world map. We are aware of these consequences. But, are we prepared to face and resist them? Yes, global warming could lead to a significant increase in disease across Asia and Pacific Island nations. As its aftermath, conflict may take birth leaving hundreds of millions of people displaced, according to a report.

By the next 95 years, global warming may hit the earth with droughts, deluges and typhoons. Such irreversible natural crisis will engulf the world with malaria, dengue fever and cholera, the report into the health impact of rising temperatures found. As a consequence, crop yield is also likely to decrease in countries in Southern Asia. In Australia, it has been estimated that up to 15,000 people could die each year due to heat stress by 2100 with dengue fever and other mosquito-borne diseases spreading as far south as Sydney. Studies have predicted that by 2100 average temperatures will rise by between 1 degree Celsius (1.8 Fahrenheit) and 6 degrees.
