Gabriel Dishaw’s Darth Vader helmet blends junk with art

Space-inspired Movies’ lovers can’t put Return of the Jedi, the 1983 American epic space opera film, out of their mind. Those who remember that episode wherein Darth Vader battled against Luke Skywalker won’t have forgotten the legendary helmet worn by the protagonist. However, how would you like the idea of someone creating the same helmet by utilizing reclaimed electronics and similar trashed stuff? Completely different from the original iconic helmet – appearance-wise at least, the awesome looking piece of art speaks volumes about the artist’s eco creativity.

Created by Indiana artist Gabriel Dishaw, the Darth Vader helmet flaunts bountiful use on discarded adding machine and typewriter keys, resistors, circuit boards and gears.

Feel more than tempted to own the handmade helmet? You should head over to Etsy where it’s up for grabs at an asking price of $800 (USD).
