eCycle is what commuters need for a green ride

With people becoming more aware than ever about global warming and climate change, the green movement has gained enough ground in recent years. Now, we can see commuters pedaling their way to office rather than considering carpooling or some other gas-guzzling alternatives. Accordingly, industrial designers are proposing unique electric bicycle designs to encourage such green-minded folks.

Conceived by Serbian industrial designer Milos Jovanovic, e-Cycle is a concept electric bicycle that aims to make biking trendier and more effortless than it was ever before. Standing in stark contrast with traditional electric bicycles that ostensibly flaunt unnecessary wires and elements, the eCycle has a dynamic frame design with integrated battery and motor within a lightweight and flexible structure. Taking its design inspiration from retro motorcycles, the concept bike features a stylized fuel tank that conceals a battery pack.

For maintaining perfect maneuverability and ease of operation, eCycle flaunts a hydroformed, flexible and lightweight aluminum frame, aside from having a removable battery. The electric motor fits neatly inside the aluminum frame. Moreover, to remove any unnecessary complexities, the bicycle handlebar comes equipped with integrated brake levers, gear case and controllers, without any third party OEM parts.
