Eco designer Diana Auria has just recently come up with her first ethical swimwear collection, which was showcased at Estethica at London Fashion Week. The London College of Fashion graduate sees fashion as something that can combine sustainability with fun and dynamism with modernism. The UK based designer utilizes sustainable waste materials to bring her apparels into existence. She uses Econyl, a new generation fabric made from discarded stuff, such as fishing nets and old carpets, in her creations.
At the Estethica exhibition, her awe-inspiring range of swimwear, developed in collaboration with London based illustrator Margo Bowman, made several heads turn. Owing to the reason that she gets mass waste materials straight from the mills, Diana promises to continue experimenting with waste materials in her future collections. With her first retail orders in place, Diana hopes to debut he swimwear collection in 2013.
