Daisy Balloon: Weirdly fashionable balloon dress by Rie Hosokai

Daisy Balloon Weirdly fashionable balloon dress by Rie Hosokai 5

We believe you won’t have listened or read about the air-filled couture thus far. If we are right, we should simply leave aside the thought of seeing you adorning your persona with such weirdly fashionable attires. For those who are bold enough to endure jeers and imploring eyes, Japanese designer Rie Hosokai has come up with dresses made from numerous tiny balloons.

Displayed at the Piece for Peace a charity art exhibition at the Parco Gallery in Tokyo until 9 January, 2013, the dresses, made for designer’s Daisy Balloon collection, would sure make you look otherworldly. Each dress features inflated balloons, which are hand-stitched together and, are perfectly lightweight.

Moreover, since the balloons start deflating within a few hours of use, you need to be on your toes always. Considering the designer’s claims for it being biodegradable, you can always be sure about its minimal footprint. Priced at $2,000-4,000, the pieces deserve you attention for sure.
