Climate Change May Grab Away Farmers' Bread

Farmers in South Africa, be aware! The changing climate, spreading its tentacles across the globe will hit the African crops and livestock the most. This phenomenon may eventually force the small farmers to switch their crops and livestock and hunt for occupations away from the clutches of the demon. Their not being capital intensive, the farmers will be hit to the gravest. Climate change will inexorably alter the rainfall patterns and temperature ranges, threatening the vulnerable herds and crops. To resist nature force them out of their daily food, they must stand ready with new management strategies. To add to this crisis, the lashing AIDS endemic is killing off rural workers. The merciless rainfall during the last growing season is also a major culprit to add to the farmers’ sufferings.
