Climate Change Led to Jellyfish Disappearance

It was the strong La Nina and El Nino events, that have caused severe weather events, that occurred seven years ago. Not only penguins but jelly fish too, serve as an indicator to climate change. The disappearance of the vulnerable jellyfish from the Lake named after them, in Palau, Micronesia is an early warning to the drastic change in the weather pattern across the world. Global warming or climate change have led to mass extinction. Environmentalists have pulled up their sleeves in finding supportive phenomena. The saltwater lake is normally home to more than 10 million mastigias jellyfish. But now is is a history. It was during the strong La Nina event of 1998 that they vanished. They are just gone. An elaborate and simultaneous recording of jellyfish numbers as well as temperature and salt levels in the water will provide another conclusive evidence of climate change.
