Is climate change intensifying storm or retarding it? The scientists seem to be in dilemma. Dutch researchers, busting the old concept that global warming would cause more storms and wind in northwestern Europe, claimed that it result in less wind. According to them climate change is turning the windmills of Netherlands idle.
On the other hand, some experts assert that, if Earth’s temperature continues to rise, the devastating Category 4 and 5 hurricanes, like Katrina and Wilma, would continue to hit the coasts more frequently. According to an expert, the frequency of hurricanes is a cyclical pattern and not necessarily affected by the climate. All these predictions are part of an ongoing debate over whether global warming will influence weather and, most specifically, hurricanes and storms.
