Scientists, for long, have been warning us on the effects of climate change, leading also to several disease outbreaks! But, do you know, this also enlists the deadly disease that claimed about 75 million lives in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East in the fourteenth century! – Plague? Central Asia’s getting warmer and wetter could increase the risk of more plague cases, scientists fear.

Published online this week by Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, lead researcher Nils Stenseth of the University of Oslo, Norway informs that though global warming could lead to more human cases in Central Asia, it will not lead to a major epidemic.
