Canadian Companies Fish for Cheaper Crude Oil

Are you an oil producer, and always on the fear of oil outputs falling, or are unrests threatening productions? Here is a solution. Oil producers in some parts of the world are finding a profitable way to separate oil from earth. Tons of black, sticky earth that are moved and deposited at crushers, washers, pipelines and coking towers turn it into crude oil, attracting such producers. Rising prices have finally brought economic viability to 175 billion barrels of thick oil laced through a Florida-sized area in northern Alberta. Making crude oil out of the sands costs $12 to $18 a barrel. Compared to this, oil sells at a very high price for more than $60 a barrel.
