Canada Witnesses Warmest Winter Ever on Record… Is It A Sign of Global Warming…!?

Canada witnessed the warmest winter on record this 2005-2006 fall. Is it a sign of global warming!? The federal agency Environment Canada was investigating on this speculation.

It was between this December and February, the country was 3.9 degrees above normal. Since temperatures were first recorded in 1948, this was the warmest winter season, smashing the previous record set in 1987 by 0.9 degrees, according to Environment Canada climatologist Bob Whitewood.

The experience has been similar south of the border where the winter has been the fifth warmest on record, U.S. National Climatic Data Center said. December through February are considered meteorological winter.
