A 4-Legged Chicken found!

Living for 18 months among 36,000 other birds at Brendle Farms, a chicken with four legs have been spotted there. Named Henrietta, the bird has two normal front legs along with two more feet behind those! And they are of a similar size to her front legs but are not functional. The chicken drags her extra feet behind her.

In 30 years of farming, Brendle – the farm owner – said that he’s never before seen a chicken with four legs, but it’s as healthy as the rest.

According to Cliff Thompson, a retired professor of genetics at the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown, there’s no definitive reason for such deformities and it could be an accident of development, akin to a sixth finger on your toe.
