The land was once devastated and reduced to piles of rubbles. I am talking about San Francisco Bay Area, which was engulfed by a massive earthquake a hundred years ago – wounds still fresh in the minds of the witnesses and a nightmare for ones who heard about it from their surviving grandparents.
There is an old saying ‘History repeats itself’! And it seems to be repeating again the same story of cruelty of nature. Yes! The heavily populated California region may suffer a magnitude 6.7 or greater quake between now and 2032! And scientists fear that there is a 62 percent chance o its happening. The Bay Area may be already ripe for a prolonged period of frequent and violent shaking.
