Amazing art installations made from natural objects defy gravity

Have you ever seen things suspended in mid-air other than in movies, or your weirdest dreams? If not, the above image should give you enough reason to ponder over the ingenuity of the artist who has created this art installation from discarded things alone. Cornelia Konrads, the German artist has installed several of them in public spaces, private gardens and sculpture parks around the globe. Seeking to defy gravity and succeeding in doing that, Cornelia introduces a sure element of weightlessness into his art installations.

The site-specific installations feature stuff like doorways, fences and logs rising above the ground, which appear to be fading in the thin air. Schleudersitz is one such sculpture that can provide you with an interactive 360 degree view of the world. However, you need to somehow manage to sit inside it. Floating naturally over the landscape, the art installation is made from branches and stones, still it’s fascinating enough to leave one awestruck. What do you say?
